Eastern Florida State Soccer’s Laura Cetina, Nancy Almanza Named to All-Tournament Team

Cetina scored 13 goals this season for the Titans
BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – A couple of Eastern Florida State College women’s soccer players were named to the NJCAA Division I National Championship all-tournament team Saturday night.
Sophomore Laura Cetina and freshman Nancy Almanza both made the all-tournament team as Cetina scored four goals while Almanza had three goals and two assists in the three games at the tournament.
The Titans lost in the semifinals to Iowa Western to finish the season 12-3 and made the national tournament semifinals for the sixth straight season. Eastern Florida State College won its first national championship in 2021.
Eastern Florida State College finished the season 20th in the nation in goals, scoring 56 times in 15 games.
Cetina scored 13 goals this season for the Titans and finishes her Titans career with 18 goals and five assists. The sophomore from Spain was the offensive Most Valuable Player of the 2021 national tournament.
Almanza wrapped up her freshman season with the Titans by scoring 10 goals and adding four assists.
The sophomore class has made history as the first team to win a national title in program history and made it to the semifinals of the national tournament this season.
