3.34 is third-highest semester GPA in program history
ORLANDO, FLORIDA – UCF student-athletes have extended their record-setting streak in the classroom to 30 consecutive semesters with a department grade-point average of 3.0 or better.
The Knights compiled a combined 3.34 GPA in the fall semester, the third-highest semester GPA in program history.
In addition to the 30 consecutive semesters of a 3.0 GPA, UCF student-athletes also posted their 12th straight semester of a 3.2 GPA or better as a department.
More than 70% of student-athletes posted a GPA of 3.0 or higher in the fall semester—and 48 earned a 4.0 GPA. UCF has posted a department-wide GPA of 3.3 or better eight times in the last nine years.
The Knights have not turned in a semester below a 3.0 since the fall of 2007. The top 10 marks in school history have come over the last 11 semesters as the Knights continued to win championships in their fields of competition.
The UCF volleyball team posted the highest overall GPA at 3.64 while at the same time securing its fifth straight American Athletic Conference title and advancing to the second round of the NCAA Championship.
The UCF men’s golf team recorded the highest GPA of the Knights’ men’s programs with a 3.46 mark.
Other top achieving UCF programs included 3.58 by women’s cross country, 3.53 by women’s rowing, 3.52 by women’s golf and women’s tennis, 3.49 by women’s track and field, 3.42 by softball, 3.4 by women’s soccer and 3.31 by men’s soccer.
