Former Cocoa Tiger, Current NFL Tackle Jawaan Taylor Named Jags Captain for Playoff Game Against Chiefs

Former Cocoa Tiger and current Jacksonville Jaguars tackle Jawaan Taylor was named the sixth captain ahead of their playoff matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Former Cocoa Tiger and current Jacksonville Jaguars tackle Jawaan Taylor was named the sixth captain ahead of their playoff matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday.

The Jacksonville Jaguars travel to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs in the divisional round of the NFL Playoffs.

Kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m.

The former Cocoa High School football standout was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the second round of the 2019 playoffs.

Taylor has played a key role in the success of the Jags this season. Jawaan has allowed only 5 sacks this season and is ranked no. 11 in offensive snaps played with 1,095.

The Brevard County native was inducted into the Space Coast Sports Hall of fame in 2020.
