Oleg Krot and the ‘Techiia Foundation’ Donated 800 Life Jackets to the Defenders of Ukraine

World business is helping Ukraine fight for freedom from Russian aggression.
NGO Techiia Foundation, a part of the international holding TECHIIA, purchased and handed over life jackets to the Naval Forces of Ukraine. They are put on a military uniform to protect a person in case of loss of consciousness in the water. There are already cases of saving lives thanks to the equipment.
When performing tasks, a soldier can get thrown overboard. A person often loses consciousness or receives a concussion after the blast wave. If the defender is not wearing a life jacket at that moment, there is an almost 100 percent chance of drowning. To avoid fatal cases, you need a solution that will not be a burden when performing tasks and will protect in case of an aggravation of the situation. At the very least, it needs to keep a person on the water’s surface, even with injury or loss of consciousness.
German-made AWN Supralite 150H vests are of high quality, with 150N buoyancy, and designed for a weight of up to 120 kg. Also, reflective tapes on the surface make it easier for rescuers or comrades to find the injured person. Signal whistle – in case of poor visibility.
“The first 500 vests have already been handed over to our defenders. The remaining 300 are still on the way, but soon they, too, will protect the lives of the military. They are lightweight, so they do not create any additional load and do not prevent from performance of tasks. At the same time, they are made of high-quality and reliable material, so you don’t have to worry about scratches or other minor damage,” says Oleg Krot, director of the “Techiia Foundation” and managing partner of the TECHIIA holding.
People serving in the Naval Forces of Ukraine are already using the first batch of vests. They shared with the Foundation and benefactors the cases when the vests saved lives.
The purchase price is over $57,000. It is another step that brings Ukraine closer to victory in the fight against the aggression of the Russian federation.
Since the beginning of the Russian invasion, the “Techiia Foundation” NGO has purchased and donated equipment worth more than $21.2 million to the defenders of Ukraine. Among them are bulletproof vests, helmets, drones, generators, communications equipment, optics, etc. On top of that, the co-founder and managing partner of the TECHIIA holding, Oleg Krot, purchased and donated almost $40 million worth of humanitarian aid.
TECHIIA is an international technology holding that unites more than 10 business projects. In 2019, the holding was founded by Oleg Krot and Yura Lazebnikov as a merger of their joint businesses into a single structure. TECHIIA has expertise in developing IT products and services, creating and selling content, developing, producing, and distributing merch, unmanned technologies, and producing new-generation insulated glass units with higher stiffness.
“Techiia Foundation” NGO is part of the TECHIIA holding. Established in 2019 to implement social and charitable initiatives. The Foundation’s priorities are healthcare and the development of STEM education. Since the beginning of the full-scale military aggression of Russia against Ukraine, the organization opened the direction called “Supporting freedom of Ukraine”.
Since February 24, 2022, the Foundation has been supporting the defenders of Ukraine, as well as victims of Russian aggression. Moreover, it keeps upgrading equipment in the busiest regional medical centers in Ukraine and maintaining the “Eva” Inclusion and Correction Center, where children with severe diagnoses and those who have been treated for cancer undergo rehabilitation.
Based on the results of the Foundation’s activities, the TECHIIA holding won the “Partnership for Sustainable Development-2021” competition from the UN Global Compact Network in Ukraine.
