Palm Bay Hoops Star, Notre Dame Commit Emma Risch Named McDonald’s All-American

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Palm Bay Magnet High School basketball star and Notre Dame commit Emma Risch has been named to the McDonald’s All-American team.

The McDonald’s All-American game is set for March 28 in Houston on ESPN.

Risch becomes the first-ever Brevard County native to receive the honor. The 5-star basketball standout verbally committed to play collegiate basketball at Notre Dame University back in November 2021.

The 6-2 guard can add this to the rest of her high school basketball accomplishments which include; ESPN Top 100 ranked player, 2,000 career points, the most 3-point field goals made in a game, and the most points in a single quarter to name just a few.

The Palm Bay Magnet Pirates are 16-7 on the season thus far. Risch is currently averaging 24.3 in her final high school season.

For several decades, the McDonald’s All-American Games have elevated the best high school basketball players into the next generation of greats, where new aspirations are born and dreams are realized.

Forty-five years later, the McDonald’s All-American Games is the pinnacle of high school basketball.

Each year ushers a new group of young players into a club of legendary athletes, many of whom are known by a single name: Magic, Jordan, Kobe, Shaq, Lebron, Candace, A’ja. The best of the best have donned a jersey featuring the iconic Golden Arches.
