PUBLIC SERVICE SPOTLIGHT: Brevard County Fire Marshal Frank Scates Retires After 47 Years of Dedicated Service

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County Fire Rescue Fire Marshal Frank Scates has retired after 47 years of dedicated service to the community and its citizens.
A luncheon was held in his honor on Friday to send him into retirement with sincere gratitude and best wishes.
“Please join us in thanking Frank for his dedicated service to the citizens of Brevard County!” said Brevard County Fire Rescue officials.
The Office of Fire Prevention, under the direction of the Fire Marshall, performs Fire and Life Safety inspections, site, construction, and fire system plan review, as well as fire and arson investigations. The Office of Fire Prevention also provides free public education opportunities and has an active juvenile firesetter intervention program.
The Office of Fire Prevention offers free courtesy inspections for businesses with fire/life safety questions regarding a potential new location or changes to an existing business to help avoid any costly surprises at a later date. If requested, the Office of Fire Prevention will perform free home fire safety surveys.
