WATCH: Orange County Sheriff John Mina said two members of a Spectrum News 13 crew at the scene of a homicide investigation in Pine Hills were shot Wednesday afternoon, and one of the two has died.
ORLANDO, FLORIDA – Orange County Sheriff John Mina said two members of a Spectrum News 13 crew at the scene of a homicide investigation in Pine Hills were shot Wednesday afternoon, and one of the two has died.
Spectrum News 13 said they are not currently releasing the names of the crew members involved in the shooting.
According to Sheriff Mina, multiple people were shot Wednesday afternoon in the same area where a woman was found dead earlier on the same day. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office said that one person was detained after the afternoon shooting, according to FOX 35.
According to Spectrum News 13, investigators said one person was detained at the scene of the most recent shooting. The individual taken into custody was identified as 19-year-old Keith Melvin Moses.
Mina said that deputies responded to reports of a shooting at 4:05 p.m. and that a reporter and photographer with News 13 in Orlando, Florida, were shot.
Deputies initially responded to a shooting at 11 a.m. in the Pine Hills neighborhood near Orlando, Florida, where a woman in her 20s was shot and killed, according to officials.
During a press conference Wednesday night, Mina said it is believed that all three shootings are connected.
