Eastern Florida State Women’s Tennis Player Emma Sanchez Named Region 8 Player of Week

ON TUESDAY, BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida State College women’s tennis player Emma Sanchez was named the Region 8 Women’s Tennis Player of the Week.

The freshman from Spain had a perfect week, picking up the win at No. 1 singles against the State College of Florida Manatee, winning the first set 6-2 and dropping the second set 6-4. Sanchez won the No. 1 singles tiebreaker 6-3.

She also teamed up with Gloria Barcaro to win the No. 2 doubles match 8-5, helping the Titans pick up a big Region 8 win. She also picked up wins in doubles against USC-Sumter and St. Scholastica.

Sanchez becomes the first Eastern Florida State College women’s tennis player to be named the Region 8 Women’s Tennis Player of the Week.
