PURPLE ALERT: Authorities in Brevard County Searching for Missing/ Endangered Adult Shannon Lytle

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Melbourne Police Department is searching for a missing/endangered adult Shannon Lytle on Monday.
The investigation began around 8 a.m. on Monday when police responded to Holmes Regional Medical Center in reference to an attempt to contact.
At that time, information was obtained that Shannon Lytle informed her family member that she intended to harm herself.
Police say she sent photos that caused the family members to believe Shannon intended to carry through with the threat.
A Purple Alert has been activated by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. Extensive area search is being conducted but she has not been located at this time.
Shannon was last known to be driving a 2012 Chevy Sonic, grey in color, bearing FL tag 13BZYG.
Shannon is 5-foot-7 and weighs around 140-pounds. She has blond hair and possibly brown eyes.
