Three Suspects Arrested After Police Conduct Undercover Prostitution Operation in Melbourne

Melbourne Police announced the arrests of three suspects on Friday, April 28, 2023, conducted by the Melbourne Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit. Left to Right: James Dean Jr., 33, charged with Solicitation for Prostitution, Edwin Zelaya, 39, charged with Solicitation for Prostitution and Christar Billets, 37, charged with Solicitation for Prostitution.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Melbourne Police announced the arrests of three suspects on Friday, April 28, 2023, conducted by the Melbourne Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit.

The investigation was conducted proactive enforcement targeting street level prostitution activity.

During this operation, detectives were utilized in an undercover capacity, targeting those who engage in prostitution activity.

The suspects identified are as followed:

◾ James Dean Jr., 33, charged with Solicitation for Prostitution

◾ Edwin Zelaya, 39, charged with Solicitation for Prostitution

◾ Christar Billets, 37, charged with Solicitation for Prostitution
