BREVARD COUNTY • ROCKLEDGE, FLORIDA – Rockledge High School 3-star linebacker Derrick McCormick announced his commitment to the University of Central Florida on Sunday via Twitter.

The Rockledge defensive star had a great 2022 season, he was credited with 119 tackles, 4 forced fumbles, 3 interceptions, and 2 sacks.

Last season the Raiders went 9-3 and won the district title.

McCormick Jr. had over 20 division one offers.

He chose UCF over programs such as USF, Indiana, and West Virginia to name a few.
