BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Ok folks, as everyone knows the 4th of July is just around the corner and it’s time for our entire community to once again join together to celebrate our nation’s Independence.

Our annual “Independence Day Parade” is taking place on Tuesday, July 4 at 10 a.m. and will once again stroll along the streets of Merritt Island with the float and parade participants starting at Merritt Island High School.

The parade then heads South on Courtenay Parkway to turn East onto Merritt Avenue with the parade ending at Edgewood Jr./Sr. High School.

If this route sounds familiar, it’s the same route as the annual Merritt Island Christmas Parade, so get there early to claim your favorite viewing spot and set up your flags as this year’s parade is gonna be huge with tons of participants, floats, and patriotism!!

To make things even better, once the parade has ended, our great partners just around the corner at the Veterans Memorial Center will host food trucks and all access admission to the Veteran’s Museum, so bring the kids and get ready for some great red, white, and blue fun.

This is going to be a great parade as everyone is excited about lining the streets to celebrate our nation’s Independence!! Of course, America’s Top Police Dog, Junny, and I will be there so we can all celebrate the Independence of our great nation together.
