Eastern Florida State College Student Lydia Royce is Titusville Downtown Art Gallery August Spotlight Artist

Lydia creates wheel-thrown ceramic vessels including vases and pitchers

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Downtown Art Gallery, located at 335 S. Washington Avenue in downtown Titusville, will present ceramics by Lydia Royce as their Spotlight Artist for the month of August 2023.

Lydia Royce is a young artist who, although only 20 years old, has over a decade of experience.

While growing up art classes were her therapy, taking her to new places and keeping her mind uncluttered. She focused on painting, both watercolors and acrylic.

As a student at Eastern Florida State College, she began exploring pottery. Concentrating on wheel throwing has been her main goal for the past year while also dabbling in other ceramic techniques. She has created a studio at her home so she can continue her journey through clay.

Lydia creates wheel-thrown ceramic vessels including vases and pitchers, many in unusual shapes. Also tableware. All of them finished with beautiful glazes

Being in a gallery is a new experience and one that she richly deserves. The Downtown Art Gallery is proud to present her work to the art community and invites you to come and view her amazing creations.

The gallery is open Monday to Friday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday 11 a.m. to 3 pm.
