BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – National Weather Service is advising scattered thunderstorms storms chances will increase into the afternoon as a tropical wave departs the region. 

Any strong storms that develop will be capable of producing wind gusts up to 40-50mph, frequent lightning, and heavy rainfall.

There will be a moderate risk for rip currents along the beaches today.
