TITUSVILLE POLICE: Brevard Soccer Coach Arrested in Sexual Battery Case, Charged With Seven Felony Counts

Titusville police detectives have arrested Brevard county high school soccer coach Anthony Lee Gonzales, 43, who is suspected of sexually battering a minor. “Detectives have arrested and charged Anthony Lee Gonzales, 43, of Titusville, with seven felony counts of Sexual Battery of a Juvenile in Custodial Control,” said Titusville police spokesperson Amy Matthews.

BREVRAD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville police detectives have arrested a Brevard County high school soccer coach who is suspected of sexually battering a minor.

“Detectives have arrested and charged Anthony Lee Gonzales, 43, of Titusville, with seven felony counts of Sexual Battery of a Juvenile in Custodial Control,” said Titusville police spokesperson Amy Matthews.

“Preliminary evidence revealed the suspect had an inappropriate sexual relationship with a child who he was coaching.”

A Brevard Public Schools spokesperson said Gonzales has been terminated as a community coach and BPS is thankful to Titusville Police for their quick investigation and arrest in this case.

Gonzales is currently being held in Brevard County Jail without bond.
