Brevard Fire Rescue New Tower Truck ‘Push In’ Ceremony Set Sept. 2 at Station 41 on Merritt Island

Brevard County Fire Rescue’s new tower truck will officially be placed into service during a traditional ”push in” ceremony scheduled for Saturday, September 2. The event will take place at 9 a.m. at Station 41, located at 300 Alma Blvd. Families are welcome to attend and truck tours will be offered as part of the event. The new tower truck, a product of Sutphen Corporation, will serve the residents and visitors of Merritt Island at the Station 41 and will replace the current Sutphen ladder truck. […]

Eastern Florida State College Cross Country Team to Open Season at 9th Annual FAU Invitational

The Eastern Florida State College men’s cross country team will open the season by running in the ninth annual FAU Cross Country Invitational on Friday. The men’s cross country team is led by Dayton Law who won the Region 8 individual title in his freshman season.
