Titusville Man Dies Days Later After Vehicle Crash on US-1 near Garden Street

Titusville man has died after sustaining injuries in a traffic crash involving two vehicles which occurred on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at approximately 11 a.m. near the intersection of South Washington Avenue (US-1) and Garden Street (SR-406).

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – A Titusville man has died after sustaining injuries in a traffic crash involving two vehicles which occurred on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at approximately 11 a.m. near the intersection of South Washington Avenue (US-1) and Garden Street (SR-406).

The preliminary investigation revealed Loren Cleveland Turner, 90, of Titusville, who was driving a tan 2006 Saturn Ion northbound on US 1, failed to comply with a red traffic signal and was subsequently struck by a 2014 grey Dodge Grand Caravan traveling eastbound on SR 406 driven by Pamela J. Leblanc, 63, of Titusville.

Leblanc was extracted from her vehicle and transferred to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Turner was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. On September 16, 2023, at approximately 7 a.m. Turner succumbed to his injuries sustained during the traffic crash.

There were no other injuries.

This traffic crash remains under investigation by the Titusville Police Department.
