Eastern Florida State Women’s Tennis Players Ranking Among Nations Beast Heading into Spring Season

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College women’s tennis team has several players ranked in the top 50 nationally as the Fall season wraps up.

The Titans have three singles players and a doubles team ranked in the ITA National Rankings.

Freshman Elena Martinez is ranked 21st overall in the NJCAA Division I national rankings while teammate Laura Yans is ranked 40th and sophomore Emma Sanchez is 42nd.

In doubles, the duo of Sanchez and Sara Ladino are ranked 19th overall.

The women’s tennis team will open the spring season on Friday, Jan. 26 at St. Leo University. The first home match will be Friday, Feb. 2 against Gustavus Adolphus College at 11 a.m.
