Eastern Florida State Men’s Basketball Prepares to Face Florida Southwestern

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College men’s basketball team will play Florida Southwestern in a battle of top teams in the Citrus Conference on Wednesday night.
The Titans, who are ranked 14th in the national poll, will travel to Fort Myers to play the Bucs who are ranked 21st. Both teams come into the matchup 7-1 in the conference.
Eastern Florida State College has won seven straight and is looking to even the series after the Bucs won the first meeting 82-78 at Titan Field House.
Sophomore Owen Aquino is averaging 14.9 points and 8.2 rebounds per game this season and is coming off a double-double against Polk State College.
It was Aquino’s sixth double-double of the season. The duo of Luca Colceag and Matija Zuzic are averaging 11 points per game and Andrija Bukumirovic is averaging 11.8 points per game in conference games this season.
Florida Southwestern’s Dezdrick Lindsay has scored at least 22 points in each of the past three games and is coming off a 38-point performance against Daytona State College. Lindsay was named the Region 8 Player of the Week.
Teammate Jaeshon Thomas is averaging 14.4 points per game and has scored at least 10 points in each of the past eight games.
