Brevard County’s third-largest employer, L3Harris, announced that it is planning layoffs to “streamline” their operations.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County’s third-largest employer, L3Harris, announced that it is planning layoffs to “streamline” their operations.

The company didn’t specify an exact number of layoffs that would be coming soon.

The company is known as an aerospace and defense powerhouse with over 7,000 jobs in Brevard County.

“L3Harris continues to focus on operational performance and delivering on our LHX NeXt commitments, including $1 billion in gross cost savings over the next three years,” said L3Harris in a official released statement.

“With this in mind, and having identified a series of opportunities to streamline our operations, we have made the difficult decision to right-size our workforce.”
