Brevard’s Extreme All Stars Capture World Title at the USASF Cheerleading World Championships

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County’s Extreme All Stars Lvl X competed at the USASF Cheerleading World Championship at the ESPN Wide World of Sports in Orlando and won the World Champion title on Tuesday.
Lvl X becomes the first team from Brevard County to win the title as 12,000 competitors from 21 countries met for the 20th Anniversary of the Cheerleading World Championship. The team represented the CHEERSPORT Organization for the Platinum Anniversary of the Championship.
Lvl X competed among 30 teams in the semi-final round, finishing in first place and moving on to finals with the top 10. Going into finals, their focus was to perform a perfect “Hit Zero” deduction-free routine in hopes of earning the gold medal.
Lvl X did just that with a high score of 157.50 out of possible 170 in the XS Limited Coed 6 division, the largest division at the event.
The team includes 16 athletes aged 13 to 19 from all around Brevard County and the Space Coast. The ream has competed in national events from Atlanta to Dallas in preparation for the cheerleading world championship event.
The team earned top placements in their regular season events, building stage time and national recognition with their CheerSport National Championship Title in Atlanta.
Mandy Field, Lvl X coach and Extreme All Stars owner ,steps into every practice with complete focus that results in beautiful cheerleading. An all-star cheerleading routine is scored in many areas from group stunting, tumbling, jumps, dance, and performance.
Of 563 teams competing at the championship, 27 teams were named World Champions across the divisions. Extreme All Stars is a competitive program specializing in cheerleading based in Melbourne, for both girls and boys.
Hip Hop dance teams at Extreme All Stars have won multiple world championships and have the only competitive World’s Level 6 cheer team in Brevard County.
Extreme All-Stars was founded in 1998 by Field for ages 4-18 and offers both competitive and recreational teams. Their coaching staff has more than 75 years of combined coaching experience.
