Cocoa Man Indicted by Brevard Grand Jury for First Degree Murder in Shooting Death of Factor Curup

Anderson is being held at Brevard County Jail without bond

Kenydrick Anderson is facing charges of 1st degree murder, attempted robbery with a firearm, and possession of a firearm by a person under age 21.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Grand Jury issued First-Degree Murder indictment for Kenydrick Anderson after killing Factor Curup in a shooting last month.

Kenydrick Anderson, 19, was indicted for First-Degree Felony Murder and Attempted Robbery with a Firearm in connection to the death of 43-year-old Factor Curup.
On April 12, 2024, Cocoa Police responded to West Crestview Road where Curup was found unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound. Transported to the hospital, Curup died from his injuries.
The medical examiner later ruled the death a homicide. Utilizing surveillance video and witness testimony, investigators established that Anderson had followed Curup from a convenience store and shot him during a robbery attempt.
The Grand Jury heard testimony from Investigators with the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office and Cocoa Police Department, along with the Associate Medical Examiner before returning with the indictment.

Anderson is being held at the Brevard County Jail without bond.

No trial date has been set in this case.
