WATCH REPLAY: ‘Dancing For the Space Coast’ Charity Fundraiser Event Raises Over $400,000 for Local Charities.
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Last night, the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office hosted the 10th Annual Dancing For the Space Coast event which was attended by over 700 people and raised in excess $400,000.
90% of the profits raised from last night’s event will be split between Space Coast Discovery, Aging Matters, and Space Coast Basket Brigade, and Best Buddies who will share the final third.
The remaining 10% will be donated to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Charity that helps all Public Safety Officers in Brevard County in a time of need.
The true “Stars” of the event are our dancers, who worked diligently to raise money for these great causes, to include Diana Chaves, Terri Clark, Grace Han, Tracy Hudson-Frantzis, Richard & Christine Hunt, Tom Kammerdener, Tom Kelce, Cinthia Kettering, Tracey Latshaw, Dakari Pickens, and Emily Anne Thomason.
Each dancer was paired with professional instructors Lance Sexton & Elena Sexton of Sundance Ballroom, Ayonna Andrews & Barry Johnson from Melbourne Ballroom, Alicia Hunter & Job Sanchez from Downtown Dance Studio in Titusville and Heidi Arnold & Primo Garcia from Dancin’ Dance Studio.
As always, all of the instructors donated their time to be a part of this incredible event.
This year, taking home the coveted mirror ball trophy were Tom Kammerdener & Heidi Arnold who brought the house down with their country music themed dance routine.
I would like to personally thank everyone from our agency who made this event one to remember, all of our sponsors for the event which include L3Harris Corporation, Florida Institute of Technology, Coastal & Cocoa Hyundai, Orion 180, Space Coast Daily and so many more.
If you missed out on this amazing night, make sure you look for it again next year.
As I always say, it takes a community to protect a community, and this event truly defines that phrase!!
