BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Our agency was honored to host FDLE’s Florida Leadership Academy Class 57, with the graduation being held Friday afternoon.

Our agency had 3 team members accepted into this session who trained alongside members of various other agencies throughout the state of Florida.

This 4 week class that discusses leadership, accountability, communication, and professionalism, is taught by instructors from all different backgrounds in law enforcement and criminal justice.

Candidates for the class must receive a nomination from their agency, show increasing leadership responsibility in their current position, and complete an essay.

I could not be more proud of Sgt. Jeff Bellinger, Sgt. Josh Williams, and Sgt. Crystal Idleburgh for representing our agency in this capacity and their desire to learn and strengthen their abilities as leaders within our agency!

Last but not least, I would like to thank Gary Calhoun from FDLE for allowing me to serve as the keynote speaker for the graduation of Class 57.

It was a wonderful day honoring all of these amazing men and women, together with other Sheriffs and Chiefs!
