BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Cocoa Tigers 5-Star defensive end Javion Hilson decommitted from Florida State University and reopened his recruitment on Sunday.
“After careful consideration, I have decided to decommit from Florida State and reopen my recruitment. I will be making my final decision in December. Thank you to everyone at FSU for their support,” said Hilson via Twitter/X post.
The Tiger senior finished last season with 94 tackles, 27 tackles for loss, 14 sacks, and three forced fumbles.
Hilson won the Defensive Line MVP at a Rivals Camp in Miami this offseason.
Hilson has over 30 division offers from programs such as the University of Florida, Georgia, Miami, Ohio State, Penn State, and Tennessee to name of few.
“He’s blessed to have God-given, ability,” said Cocoa head coach Ryan Schneider.
“The thing that makes him great is his work ethic and drive to be the best player he can be. His work ethic and drive are some of the best I’ve ever seen in a high school football player.”
