Florida Tech Brings High-Tech Learning to Brevard Students with STEMPower Day

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida Tech is set to host STEMPower Day, a free event for Brevard-area students that will feature nearly two dozen engaging and interactive sessions taught by experts on an array of topics such as space, aviation, engineering, psychology, cybersecurity, biology, earth science and innovation.
Over 2,000 registrants will experience hands-on science stations across campus hosted by Florida Tech students, faculty and local leaders representing some of the Space Coast’s top STEM employers.
Guests may also select from a variety of interactive STEM workshops hosted by Florida Tech’s amazing professors.
The Crawford Green outdoor space will be buzzing with activities hosted primarily by student organizations, including Women in Aviation, the National Society for Black Engineers and the Panther Spirit Squad.
WHEN: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, September 14
WHERE: Multiple locations on the Florida Tech campus, including the Crawford building; Skurla Hall; Gleason Performing Arts Center; Evans Library Pavilion P133; Evans Library; and the Esports Center.
WHY: As Florida’s STEM University, Florida Tech wants to make sure that every K-12 student in Brevard County with a talent or affinity for STEM subjects feels encouraged to stay interested, to one day pursue higher education in a STEM field, and to understand that there will be an exciting STEM job waiting for them after they graduate. That’s what STEMPower Day is all about!
