‘Philadelphia Flasher’ Arrested in Titusville After Exposing His Sexual Organs, Masturbating on Bike Trail

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – From flashing in Philly to launching mini rockets in Brevard, this guy is now right where he belongs …locked behind bars at the Brevard County Jail where the only exposing he will be doing is to his new cellmates.

Last night, Deputy Bradley Hackett arrested Steven Barrick after our citizens reported that a white male suspect was observed exposing his sexual organs and masturbating along the bike trail near Parrish Road and US 1 in the North end of the county.

As Deputies arrived on scene, Barrick stopped what he was doing and actually tried to flee on his bicycle.

Deputies chased Barrick to his residence that was nearby where Barrick ran inside and climbed into the attic space!! Barrick was subsequently talked out of the attic and placed under arrest for Indecent Exposure and Resisting Arrest Without Violence.

Now here is where the story gets even better, as in year’s past Barrick repeatedly pulled this same crap in Philadelphia and was at one time on their Top 10 Most Wanted Fugitives list as he was known as the “Philadelphia Flasher” dating as far back as 2013.

Barrick was arrested in 2013 by our Fugitive Unit on outstanding warrants out of Philadelphia after the US Marshals contacted our agency with information that Barrick was visiting nearby relatives.

So let me see if I have this straight…this piece of crap goes all over Philly flashing his junk, then finds his way to our community where he gets arrested, is shipped back to Philadelphia to face charges, is let out of jail at some point up there for whatever reason, and then comes back to Brevard where he has now been arrested multiple times for violation of probation, possession of cocaine, exposure of sexual organs on four different occasions, and now, yet another charge of showing his junk to citizens.

Can someone pleases explain to me how a scum bag like this guy is even out on our streets where he can show anything? The fact that this guy is allowed out in public is yet another sick and sad commentary on our criminal justice system.

I guess the goal is to just keep letting him expose himself to citizens and potentially children, until something even worse happens.

I swear folks, for the life of me I can’t understand how our team and others in law enforcement go out each and every day and arrest repeat offenders for drug dealing, robbery, sex offenses, and even freaks like this guy, and the next day they’re right back out on the street doing the same things.

It is time, no actually it is way past time, for our Judges to start hammering those that repeatedly can’t obey our laws and lock them behind bars for extended periods of time, or for good for all I care!

For now though, the old Philadelphia Flasher or Space Coast Mini Rocket Launcher as we will now call him, is locked behind bars, but for how long!
