Space Coast Symphony Orchestra to Host ‘Red Carpet Film Scores’ at the Scott Center Oct. 19

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Lights, camera, action– music! The Space Coast Symphony Orchestra will present a concert jam-packed with movie music and film clips during Red Carpet Film Scores, on October 19 at 7 p.m., at the Scott Center for the Performing Arts, 5625 Holy Trinity Drive in north Melbourne.
The classic program features music by Erich Wolfgang Korngold, John Williams, Alan Menken, James Horner, Howard Shore, Hans Zimmer, and others.
The audience will experience Academy Award-winning music from Lord of the Rings, The Wizard of Oz, Schindler’s List, Star Wars, To Kill a Mockingbird, Lion King, The Producers, Lawrence of Arabia, and many more, as the action plays out on the big screen.
$35 tickets for the concert are available through the orchestra website at www.SpaceCoastSymphony.org or Marine Bank & Trust in Suntree.
Tickets at the door are $40. Concertgoers aged 18 and under or with a college ID are admitted free to every SCSO concert.
The Space Coast Symphony Orchestra has become known for its music and film concerts. Conductor and Artistic Director, Aaron T. Collins is pleased to showcase some of Hollywood’s best during Red Carpet Film Scores.
“This concert includes some of the greatest moments in cinematic music history,” said Collins.
“The audience will get twice the experience: they will hear a great live performance of the music while watching the action play out on screen.”
Film buffs will have another chance to experience some movie magic, when the orchestra kicks off the holiday season with Christmas at the Movies on November 30 in Satellite Beach and December 1 in Vero Beach.
The Space Coast Symphony Orchestra is one of only a handful of U.S. orchestras to perform year-round. Concertgoers aged 18 and under or with a college ID are admitted free to every SCSO concert.
