BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Cocoa Tigers highly touted five-star defensive lineman Javion Hilson announced on Wednesday that he will be playing college football next year at the University of Missouri.
“Hilson has emerged as perhaps the most consistent edge-rushing talent in the class of 2025 over the last year, beginning with ramped-up numbers between his sophomore and junior campaigns,” said a Rivals spokesperson.
The Tiger senior has 72 total tackles, 25 tackles for loss (TFL), 15 sacks and 59 hurries in 12 games this season
Hilson won the Defensive Line MVP at a Rivals Camp in Miami this past offseason.
The 6-foot-5, 235 pound edge rusher had over 30 division offers and chose Missouri over other programs such as Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, Ohio State, Penn State, and Tennessee to name of few.
“He’s blessed to have God-given, ability,” said Cocoa head coach Ryan Schneider.
“The thing that makes him great is his work ethic and drive to be the best player he can be. His work ethic and drive are some of the best I’ve ever seen in a high school football player.”
