LANDOVER, MARYLAND – The Army Black Knights and the Navy Midshipmen are set to clash on Saturday in the historic 125th Army-Navy game. This year’s matchup is drawing significant attention, not only for the stakes on the field but also for the high-profile figures expected in the crowd.
For the first time, the two programs enter the game with a combined total of 19 wins. Army, competing in the American Athletic Conference this season, and Navy, both spent time in the Top 25 rankings. Saturday’s showdown will be their first meeting of the season and will count as a non-conference game.
The game will welcome notable guests, including President-elect Donald Trump, Vice President-elect JD Vance, and other prominent figures.
With an 8-3 record, Navy has achieved its first winning season since 2019 under head coach Brian Newberry, who described the Black Knights as “the most complete, well-rounded Army football team” he has seen.
President-elect Trump, recently elected as the 47th President of the United States, will make his fifth appearance at the Army-Navy game, accompanied by Vice President-elect Vance.
Sources have also confirmed that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is expected to attend.
Additionally, Secretary of Defense nominee Pete Hegseth will be present as a guest of Trump. Vice President-elect Vance announced that Marine veteran Daniel Penny, who was recently acquitted in the subway chokehold death of Jordan Neely, will join him at the game.
“Daniel’s a good man who stood firm in a challenging situation, despite efforts to ruin his life,” Vance shared on X. “I’m honored he accepted my invitation and hope he enjoys the game while seeing how much his fellow Americans admire his courage.”
