Brevard Federated Republican Women Install Officers for 2025, Seeking New Members to Support Mission

The Brevard Federated Republican Women, founded in 1950 and at the forefront of Brevard County politics, installed the organization’s 2025 officers during their monthly meeting on Wednesday. Barbara Price, President of the Florida Federation of Republican Women, led the installation of the officers, who are Xiaoqi Wang, president; Connie Cavazos, 1st vice president; Patricia Moore-Carroll, 2nd vice president; Claudette Bish, 3rd vice president; Jackie McLaughlin, treasurer; and Dixie Riepl, recording secretary.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard Federated Republican Women, founded in 1950, has been at the forefront of Brevard County politics, installed the organization’s 2025 officers during their monthly meeting on Wednesday.

Barbara Price, President of the Florida Federation of Republican Women, led the installation of the officers, who are Xiaoqi Wang, president; Connie Cavazos, 1st vice president; Patricia Moore-Carroll, 2nd vice president; Claudette Bish, 3rd vice president; Jackie McLaughlin, treasurer; and Dixie Riepl, recording secretary.

“My team is a hard-working, dynamic one,” said Wang. “In 2024, they made tens of thousands of phone calls and knocked on thousands of doors supporting Republican candidates.”

The Brevard Federated Republican Women held monthly voter registration drives at gun shows, assisted living facilities, markets, and events. They also manned tents, from dawn to dusk, outside polling places during early voting and election day.

During their monthly lunch meetings,  the Brevard Federated Republican Women host candidate forums featuring outstanding speakers to help their members be better informed on issues important to the community, state, and nation.

The Federation of Republican Women advances Republican values while supporting veterans via community service programs and Space Coast youth through its Education Scholarship programs. The Executive Board is committed to the task and asked that like-minded Republican women and men support its mission by joining BFRW as a member or associate member.

Wangsaid that as members of the National Federation of Republican Women and the Florida Federation of Republican Women, BFRW’s foremost goal is to empower women from all walks of life by providing them a platform in the civic, political, and governmental arenas.

“I am proud to be a member of the Federation of Republican Women,” said Wang. “This is where I began my political activity, and thanks to my fellow BFRW sisters, I learned that when we work together, we really can make a difference.”

The Federation of Republican Women will continue to advance Republican values while supporting veterans via community service programs and Space Coast youth through its Education Scholarship programs.

Wang believes that 2025 has great promise and that her BFRW sisters will grow together with love, courage, knowledge, and hardworking.

Wang said the Executive Board is committed to the task at hand and asked that like-minded Republican women and men support its mission by joining BFRW as a member or associate member.
