Cocoa Village Playhouse to Hold Auditions for ‘Kinky Boots’ Production Feb. 2-3

Cocoa Village Playhouse will train you to be performance-ready for any show

BREVARD COUNTY • FLORIDA — Cocoa Village Playhouse is holding February 2-3 auditions for the ‘Kinky Boots’ production for all ages.

Auditions will be held Sunday, February 2, at 6:30 p.m. and Monday, February 3, at 7:30 p.m. Virtual auditions are also available and must be received no later than February 3 at 12 noon.

Auditions: Being a part of the performing arts in your community can be a wonderful and life-changing experience. Regardless of your training and experience in the arts, we welcome you to join us for auditions at our historic theatre.

Cocoa Village Playhouse will train you to be performance-ready for any show you may be cast in. The volunteer performers consist of people in our community from all walks of life, including teachers, students, doctors, and the military.

Whatever your profession, if you have ever dreamed of performing onstage, we encourage you to audition for your chance to perform in what audiences have declared “Broadway on Brevard.”

In addition to the standard auditions live at the Playhouse, Cocoa Village Playhouse offers the opportunity to audition virtually.

‘Kinky Boots’: Charlie Price has reluctantly inherited his father’s shoe factory, which is on the verge of bankruptcy. Trying to live up to his father’s legacy and save his family business, Charlie finds inspiration in the form of Lola, a fabulous entertainer in need of some sturdy stilettos.

As they work to turn the factory around, this unlikely pair find that they have more in common than they realized… and discover that when you change your mind, you can change your whole world.
