EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

BREVARD COUNTY • FLORIDA —Hidden Acres Rescue for Thoroughbreds equestrian facility in Cocoa is looking to hire a live-in part time barn/property manager.
Hidden Acres Rescue for Thoroughbreds is a non-profit organization founded in 2011 to promote the physical and emotional healing and well-being of thoroughbreds retiring from the racetrack.
They do this by rehabilitating horses and providing them the skills, confidence, and nurturing they need for a successful and smooth transition into their second careers and forever families.
Thoroughbreds can be successful show or pleasure mounts beyond the track.
With proper training, there are no limits to what these horses can do. Many have excelled in hunter/jumper, dressage, eventing, competitive trail riding, liberty and more. These highly athletic and intelligent horses have so much more to offer individuals who take the time to love and teach them.

One of the best-kept secrets at Hidden Acres is the lesson program. Trainers believe in the philosophy of natural horsemanship training for the safety and benefit of both the horse and rider.
The care and well-being of your horse is of the utmost importance to HART. They are not happy unless you and your horse are happy. That’s why we are a full-service barn.
BEMER therapy has been proven to have a positive impact on a horse’s body. It strengthens the horse’s health in terms of prevention and promotes regeneration after illness. HART offers BEMER therapy on site.
HART promises a mutual journey of self-discovery for all who embrace these brave, loyal and adaptable horses. Benefits include committment to the community, including at-risk youth and those individuals also trying to find a purpose in life.
HART believes cultivating trust enlightens our own behavior and communication skills. Patience, understanding and thoughtful actions are lessons mutually acquired through these human-horse connections. Many who grace the barn aisles of Hidden Acres have had life changing experiences through the scientifically proven human/horse connection.

Find your new purpose and improve your physical and mental health well-being while having fun
Thoroughbred horses race as early as two years old and complete their careers normally before the age of seven. As horses can live up to 30 years or more, these young athletes face an uncertain and potentially bleak future without the intervention of aftercare organizations.
When their racing days are over, they find themselves struggling to understand their new role – they need a purpose. This is where aftercare and horse rescue come in. HART focuses on retraining these athletes for a second career, whether it be show jumping, eventing, barrels or simply enjoying a long leisurely trail ride.
The physical and mental health benefits that come from the human/horse connection are life changing. So HART has put renewed focus on youth and the socially challenged to ensure horses serve the community that supports them.
Throughout the journey the volunteer kids, parents, veterans, first responders, and families who assist daily with care and feeding of these athletes experience the myriad of health benefits to come from the human/horse connection.
For centuries it’s been known that horses can instill a sense of purpose, calm, confidence, and relieve stress in ways human cannot.
