BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – In a heartwarming turn of events last week, quick-thinking Palm Bay Police officers came to the rescue of a kitten struck by a vehicle and trapped in the engine compartment.

The incident unfolded when a dayshift officer, driving directly behind the vehicle, witnessed the accident and immediately intervened.

Recognizing the urgency of the situation, additional officers arrived promptly to assist. While ensuring the safety of all involved by managing traffic around the scene, they worked together to safely free the frightened kitten from the engine compartment.

Thanks to their teamwork and determination, the kitten was rescued without further harm.

The rescued feline has since been placed in a loving home, where it is receiving the care and attention it needs.
