BREVARD COUNTY • MIMS, FLORIDA — Brevard County Fire Rescue extinguished a mobile home fire in Mims last night after firefighters encountered heavy flames when they arrived on the scene.

When fire rescue found the structure fully engulfed, they promptly launched a defensive attack. Crews from Stations 22 and 24 joined forces with the Titusville Fire Department, Mims Volunteer Fire Department, Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, and the BCFR Fire Marshal to battle the blaze.

Despite their efforts, one dog tragically perished in the fire. Fortunately, no other injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Authorities remind residents to check smoke alarms regularly and practice fire safety precautions to prevent similar tragedies.
