UPDATE: Amphitheater Construction Underway at Brevard Veterans Memorial Park in Merritt Island

The Brevard Veterans Memorial Plaza and Park in Merritt Island continue to evolve, as efforts to improve and expand the space move forward, residents and visitors can look forward to various upgrades, ongoing events, and exciting construction projects that will shape the future of this site.

BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA — The Brevard Veterans Memorial Plaza and Park in Merritt Island continue to evolve, as efforts to improve and expand the space move forward, residents and visitors can look forward to a variety of upgrades, ongoing events, and exciting construction projects that will shape the future of this site.

January has been a dynamic month for the Memorial Plaza and Park, marked by significant developments and community engagement.

The Memorial Plaza has received 14 new brick orders, each dedicated to honoring individuals and cherished memories.

Additionally, a new bench and tree have been ordered for the Park, further enhancing its beauty and providing a serene space for visitors. The ongoing maintenance and improvements, managed by CSpray, continue to ensure the Plaza remains in top condition.

Construction on Amphitheater

Significant progress has been made on the construction of a new amphitheater and its accompanying facilities. This $8.2 million project aims to transform the Park with modern amenities, including restrooms, concessions, dining areas, lighting, irrigation, and more.

The project is advancing rapidly, with an expected completion date of late 2025.

Despite the construction, the Park will continue hosting various community events. More than 20 events are scheduled in alternative areas of the Park. Visitors are encouraged to stay updated on parking arrangements and progress photos to ensure a seamless experience.

The Brevard Veterans Memorial Plaza and Park will be an outdoor venue with a capacity of over 5,000 people on tiered lawn seating and include a green room, a loading dock, storage space, stage lighting, and audio, as well as parking.
