FREE PET ADOPTIONS: Brevard County Animal Services Offering Free Adoptions For the Month of March

Brevard County Animal Services is offering free adoptions on dogs and cats for the month of March.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County Animal Services is offering free adoptions for dogs and cats throughout March 2025. This initiative includes spaying or neutering, microchipping, current vaccinations, complimentary medical insurance through Trupanion, and a county tag, all provided upon approved application.

In addition to the adoption drive, the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office South Animal Care Center offers a one-hour obedience class every Saturday at 9:30 a.m.

This class is available to anyone who has adopted a dog from BCSO Animal Services, as well as community members planning to surrender a dog to the shelter.

The session focuses on basic obedience and addressing minor behavioral issues. Participants are asked to check in with Care Center staff by 9:20 a.m.

Sheriff Wayne Ivey has expressed enthusiasm about partnering with Space Coast Daily to highlight the animals awaiting adoption at the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Animal Care Center.

Those interested in adopting a pet can visit the South Animal Care Center, located at 5100 West Eau Gallie Blvd. in Melbourne.

The center operates Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, call 321-633-2024.
