BREVARD COUNTY • FLORIDA — East Central Florida residents are waking up to abundant sunshine and noticeably cooler temperatures today, as a cold front that recently swept through the region leaves behind dry and breezy conditions.

Temperatures across the area are expected to remain comfortable, with daytime highs reaching the upper 60s to low 70s, particularly inland. While the crisp air may feel refreshing, residents should be aware that gusty northwest winds will persist through the morning, gradually easing into the afternoon.

The National Weather Service continues to highlight very dry air in place, which, combined with the breezy conditions, may increase fire weather concerns in some locations. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

Additionally, hazardous surf and marine conditions remain a concern along the coast. Rough seas and strong rip currents will make beachgoing and boating dangerous, and mariners and swimmers are urged to exercise extreme caution.

As winds settle later in the day, a tranquil and seasonably cool evening is expected, capping off a breezy but beautiful start to the weekend.
