BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The spring sports season is in full swing, and teams across the county are making their mark. While some have risen to the top, others are still working to find their rhythm.

TENNIS

One team stands out above the rest: the Satellite Scorpions. At a perfect 12-0, they are the only undefeated team in Brevard County. With a strong lineup featuring five seniors, their experience paid off last week when they secured the Cape Coast Conference Championship with a win over Edgewood.

The Scorpions aim to keep their winning streak alive next Tuesday, March 25, when they take on Rockledge High School.

SOFTBALL

The Melbourne Central Catholic Hustlers had a dominant weekend, bouncing back from a recent rough patch by winning three straight games in an out-of-county tournament. They secured victories over Bishop Moore, Bishop Kenny, and Clearwater Central Catholic, proving their resilience.

Meanwhile, the Satellite Scorpions also shined in tournament play, winning three out of four games. With a strong 10-2 record, they have shown significant improvement from last season’s 14-11 finish.

BASEBALL

With the season past its midpoint, several baseball teams have already hit double-digit wins. Eau Gallie, Satellite, Viera, Merritt Island, and Bayside have all reached the 10-win milestone and are looking to maintain momentum.

Fans can catch Satellite, Eau Gallie, and Merritt Island in action today as they continue their push for a strong finish.

LACROSSE

As the lacrosse season enters its final weeks, competition remains fierce across the county.

On the boys’ side, Holy Trinity holds a 7-2 record and remains undefeated against Brevard County teams. Melbourne Central Catholic isn’t far behind, boasting a solid 7-3 record.

For the girls’ teams, the Viera Hawks are flying high with an 8-3 record and a five-game winning streak. Behind them, Holy Trinity and Satellite both stand at 6-3, though each team fell short against Viera in head-to-head matchups.

With the season nearing its climax, expect plenty more action as teams battle for postseason positions!
