BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy Tigers girls’ basketball team made history this season winning a program high of 22 games and reaching the state final four for the first time in program history.

After the 17-6 regular season, the Holy Trinity girls’ basketball team felt good heading into their district tournament.

Breezing through their district with two convincing wins, the team’s goals quickly shifted to the FHSAA Girls Basketball State Tournament.

The Tigers defense had been stifling all year and that didn’t change when making their way through Regionals. In the first three games of the state tournament the Tigers would hold opponents to an average of less than 15 points per contest.

With those three dominating showings Holy Trinity ran into a very talented Providence School (Jacksonville) team in Lakeland at the final four and would fall 61-44. Concluding a 22-7 season, 8th grader Leila Bryant led the way for the Tigers averaging 19 points a game followed by 9th grader Kylie Green at 13 points per contest.

Green also led the team in rebounds, assists, steals and blocks.

The 2025-2026 Holy Trinity girls will be returning seven of the ten players from this season’s final four team.

Capping off a great season Holy Trinity’s own coach Will Gibson was named FACA District 12 Class 2A coach of the year and 8th grader Leila Bryant was named FACA District 12 Class 2A player of the year following her 18 points, 3 assists and 6 rebound season averages.
