The Titans will be one of four teams competing in the UNG Bracket Challenge beginning on Monday.
A medal match combines elements of match play with stroke play with players matching up and playing in match play and then a team score will be based on how the players do.
“It will be as competitive of an event as we have played,” Eastern Florida State College women’s golf coach Jamie Howell said. “We are playing with some of the better NCAA Division II teams and the best we can do is stay in our lane and play our game and just see how it plays out.”
The host University of North Georgia, Columbus State University and Lander University will all be completing in the event. North Georgia is ranked 16th in the latest NCAA Division II national rankings while Lander University is No. 21.
The Titans enter the tournament ranked fourth in the NJCAA Division I national rankings led by Mila Tang who is ranked second in the individual national rankings with teammates Ann Burel at No. 19 and Jenna Barnett ranked 20th.
The tournament will be the final regular season event for the women’s golf team. They will play in the Southeast District Lady’s Championship April 14-15 at Duran Golf Club.
