Eau Gallie defeats Rockledge 12-4 to claim Cape Coast Conference Championship

Eau Gallie Commodores softball captured the Cape Coast Conference softball championship on Thursday with a 12-4 win over Rockledge.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Eau Gallie Commodores softball captured the Cape Coast Conference softball championship on Thursday with a 12-4 win over Rockledge.

Rockledge took an early lead in the third inning, but Eau Gallie tied it in the fourth and surged ahead with a two-run homer by Izzy Gambill.a The teams traded runs in the fifth, with Rockledge briefly taking a 4-3 lead before Gambill’s double and Abigail Latulippe’s homer put the Commodores back in front.

The Commodores added four more runs in the sixth, including a home run from Gabriella Barrera to secure the win.

Eau Gallie improves to 12-7, while Rockledge drops to 15-6.

District tournaments begin April 28.
