BREVARD COUNTY • FLORIDA—Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey recently bid farewell to his long-time K-9 companion, Junny. In a recent video, he provided a first look at his incoming new K9 partner, a bloodhound named Saint Francis.
Named after Francis of Assisi, who is associated with the patronage of animals and the environment, Saint Francis will officially report for his first tour of duty on Friday.

On Thursday, Saint Francis made a cameo appearance in a music video featuring Sheriff Ivey serenading the public about roadway safety measures while he stylistically strummed the guitar, accompanied by Jay Martinez.
The lighthearted video uses playfulness to bring awareness to road safety issues that are not be taken lightly. The community’s response has shown that it is delighted to have a Sheriff who is both engaging and informative.
