UCF will open the season on Thursday, August 28, with a 7 p.m. home game against Jacksonville State. The game will stream on ESPN+. It marks the beginning of a three-game home stretch for the Knights over the first four weeks of the season.

Both matchups will be first-time meetings for UCF against the two programs.

The Knights will be aiming for their 10th straight season-opening victory, a streak that began in 2016 during head coach Scott Frost’s first stint at the helm. Eight of the previous nine openers were decided by margins of 28 points or more.

Frost, who led UCF to a 13-0 season in 2017 capped by a Peach Bowl win over No. 7 Auburn, returns for his second tenure looking to extend his personal win streak to 14 games. A victory in the season opener would also mark the 300th win in program history.
