NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE • MELBOUNRE, FLORIDA – A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for most east central Florida through 9 p.m. EDT.
Threats include hail up to two inches in diameter, wind gusts up to 70 mph, a brief tornado, and locally heavy rainfall. Stay weather alert into this evening. Always have multiple ways to receive warnings!
Monday: A chance of showers before 11 am, then showers and thunderstorms between 11 am and 2 pm, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 2 pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 85. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming east southeast in the afternoon. The chance of precipitation is 70%.
Monday Night: Showers and thunderstorms are likely before 11 p.m., and there is a chance of showers between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m. It will be partly cloudy, with a low around 70. The south southeast wind will be 5 to 10 mph. The chance of precipitation is 60%.
Tuesday: A 20 percent chance of showers after 2 pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 85. South wind 5 to 10 mph becoming east in the afternoon.
