Tuesday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 pm. Sunny and hot, with a high near 95. South wind 5 to 10 mph becoming east southeast in the afternoon. A prolonged heat wave continues across east-central Florida on Tuesday, with well-above-normal temperatures and heat index readings. An Extreme Heat Watch (Orlando northward) and a Heat Advisory (elsewhere) take effect at noon.
