BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA — Palm Bay Academy, a charter school for kindergarten to eighth grade with zero cost tuition, is accepting enrollment applications for the upcoming school season, beginning in August.

Palm Bay Academy offers a unique learning experience that utilizes traditional and hands-on learning to focus on teaching critical thinking, high school transition, and college and career readiness, as well as organization, speaking, and leadership.

Boasting personal class sizes, Montessori-trained instructors, increased campus technology, including computer labs and in-class laptops, activity cycling to keep students engaged, and year-round tutoring before or after class, depending on age, summer camps, award-winning teachers and programs, engagement incentives, positive behavior reinforcement, and extensive on-site security.

Electives include:

● Vex robotics and rocketry
● Horticulture featuring live ducklings and AgriStart plant cloning, splicing, hydroponics, harvesting, and take-home produce
● Technology and coding
● Spanish language immersion choice program with direct international communication
● Life and biomed science with labs
● Phys. Ed and recess
● Art

Sports programs include:

● Boys and girls soccer,
● Girls volleyball,
● Boys and girls basketball
● Boys and girls flag football

Some electives and programs may be restricted to specific age groups. Summer camps and before and after-care options are available. Accelerated middle school programs are available for students to complete high school and college pre-requisites in a shorter timeframe.

The campus also showcases a Montessori room. The Montessori room serves as a hosting space for the academy’s gifted program, which provides increased focus for elementary students who struggle academically and require special attention. The gifted program offers special hands-on electives, including drone assembly and biological dissection.

Palm Bay Academy is a school that requires students to wear uniforms. Free breakfast and lunch are served daily, and student transportation is available within a 5-mile radius. The car loop is open daily for self-drop-off and pick-up for students with no distance limit from their residential address.

Opportunities are provided for parental involvement throughout the year at various events, including holiday celebrations, theater performances, Career Day, concerts, tastings, math and science nights, and more. Additionally, students are encouraged to participate in shaping the school environment through programs such as yearbook creation, morning announcements, and other initiatives.

Palm Bay Academy is a Title 1, Cognia-accredited, choice attendance school. PBA is dedicated to serving the needs of its students by providing an enriched academic environment that fosters excellence in each student’s experience.
