Community Appreciation Event Set Aug. 14 at Front Street Civic Center Will Honor Law Enforcement Officers

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — Space Coast residents are invited to an evening dedicated to recognizing the service and dedication of Brevard County law enforcement officers on Thursday, August 14, from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Front Street Civic Center, located at 2205 Front Street in Melbourne.
Guests will enjoy light refreshments while engaging in meaningful conversations with some of the Space Coast’s top law enforcement leaders.
Among those scheduled to attend are Chief David Gillespie of the Melbourne Police Department, Chief Mariano Augello of the Palm Bay Police Department, Chief Greg Vesta of the West Melbourne Police Department, and Commander Ron Little of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.
Uniformed officers from across the area will also be present, providing a unique opportunity for personal connection.
The evening is designed to strengthen the bond between residents and the officers who serve them every day. Organizers hope it will foster greater understanding, trust, and mutual respect, ensuring that the community’s appreciation is felt by those who dedicate their careers to keeping it safe.
