Temporary Road Closure on Charles Drive in Melbourne Set For Wednesday, August 6

Road Closure in effect for 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA — According to the City of Melbourne Public Works and Utilities Department, motorists traveling through Melbourne should prepare for a temporary road closure on Charles Drive between Magnolia Avenue and Lynn Avenue on August 6.

Crews will be working on repairs to a sewer main. The closure will take place from 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

During this time, traffic control personnel and signage will be in place to assist drivers in navigating safely around the work zone.

City officials urge residents and commuters to plan alternate routes and expect minor delays in the area.

The maintenance is part of an ongoing effort to improve and sustain essential infrastructure services for the community.
