City of Melbourne Rescinds Boil Water Notice for Brookside Drive Area Issued Sept. 24

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The City of Melbourne has rescinded the precautionary boil water notice that was issued on September 24 for residents along Brookside Drive and portions of South Harbor City Boulevard.
The notice had been put in place following repairs to a water main in the affected area, which included addresses on Brookside Drive from 2332 – 2344, as well as 100 and 200 South Harbor City Boulevard.
After the completion of the repair work, a bacteriological survey was conducted to ensure the safety of the water supply. Test results confirmed that the water is safe to drink, allowing the precautionary advisory to be lifted.
